I have been on a little blog break because of Hurricane Irene. We are up and running now that there is power and internet. No cable was nice though, and i can see us living a cable free life...but i can't go too long without internet access and flushable toilets! We fared well, except for a leaky roof, but thankful that it wasn't worse. Others had flooding, and on other islands, even lost their homes :(

The boys handled the hurricane very well. Lathan didn't notice a thing and Lee really enjoyed watching it! He even taught me a little something about hurricanes (and tornadoes)!
