Handmade Playdough

This playdough is a staple in our house. We always have some around, and if we don't it's so easy to make we just make up a batch....or a couple.

This is the recipe:

1 cup flour

1 cup boiling water

1/2 cup salt

2 Tbs Cream of Tartar

1 Tbs Oil

Food coloring

Simply mix everything together! Be careful because it is hot! I added the food coloring when the dough was cool enough to knead, and i only added 2 drops at first. I added more to get the color i wanted.

These colors were used for our fake insect house. The green was the grass, the brown was dirt, and the blue was water.
